Unlike other Scandinavian countries, Sweden maintained its
neutrality throughout the Second World War. She was therefore
able to offer sanctuary for the fighting men of all nations.
During war 113 RAF aircraft and 660 airmen landed in Sweden
or in its coastal waters. For many airmen Sweden offered the
only hope of refuge when their aircraft were unable to make
the flight back to Britain. Here each case is featured in
remarkable detail, each aeroplane identified and every man
accounted for.
The authors have committed many years of research to produce
this work that will prove to be the definitive reference work
on those airmen who had option but to Make for Sweden.
Part 2 features the USAAF
losses in Sweden
