	Mosquito - Milton Keynes

The remains of Mosquito NF MkII DD602 have been unearthed during building work at Wavendon, Buckinghamshire. The pilot, said to be 29-year-old Warrant Officer Gavin Hardie, and navigator/radar operator Sergeant Martin Card baled out but, both were found dead. The mosquito was from 51OTU and dived into the ground on 14 January 45

The site is earmarked for a huge warehouse complex. Developers Gazeley knew the plane was somewhere in the area because the Twinwoods Aviation Museum had recovered an engine in 1992.
